The deep russet colors of Spice Route and Ruby Kilim

Saffron Marigold - Updated: June 19, 2014

I’ve said it before and I’ll mention it again – our hand blocked prints not only stand their own but mix and match beautifully with each other.

I finally bought a couple of euro shams for myself last month. I was waiting to settle into our new home before getting them, and I am so thrilled with them. So this is my testimonial 🙂

“I love them! The rich colors really bring my family room to life! I was so reluctant to move into a house with all white walls, but the white proved to be the perfect foil for the rich deep colors. I am using the pillows as floor cushions and as you can see, my dog Lucy and I have to fight for them”

Here is a picture of the family room. As you can tell I love earthy warm vibrant colors. I’ve thrown the pillows on the floor and when stacked one on top of another they end up being a real comfy place to sit.

And here’s Lucy on the pillows….see what I mean?

Spice Route and Ruby Kilim have deep reds and oranges as their primary color. Definitely prints to keep in mind with Fall fast approaching.

Euro shams are typically layered on a bed, our Bedding series can tell you all about that. If you’re looking to add a dash of exotic global flavor to your home, Saffron Marigold linens can do that for you!

  1. This looks so lovely! I have the Ruby Kilim curtains in my bedroom. I love the warm color scheme of your living room.
I’m going to be featuring Saffron Marigold in my next blog post (pt. 2 of The World Traveler’s Home). One of the shower curtains already made an appearance in the first part 🙂

    • Sarah, thank you for featuring us in your next blog post. I checked out Part 1 and saw the Maharaja shower curtain, another personal favorite print of mine. Thank you also for the kind words about my living room…every time I buy something in reds and oranges I vow to pick blues and greens the next time, but it never happens! 🙂

    • Thanks Priya! You know me and my love affair with all things orange 🙂
