One Spice Route tablecloth, so many uses.

Saffron Marigold - Updated: August 4, 2014

At Saffron Marigold, while we offer many different products – tablecloths, bed linens, curtains, pillows shams and throws – do keep in mind that many of them have dual purposes. Tablecloths can double up as twin bedspreads and vice versa, and runners can be used to adorn sideboards and dressers. And then of course, if you are the “crafty” DIY-er type of person, you can use swatches to make café curtains and lovely wall hangings,  and bed linens to upholster headboards and furniture.

Recently I bought myself a Spice Route tablecloth with every intention of using it as a tablecloth over the holidays. But when it arrived and it lay across my bed waiting for me to spread it on my table….I was struck by how pretty it looked laying across the bed. So I fussed around a little bit and laid it across like a coverlet at the foot of the bed and viola – in minutes the bed took on a glamorous look! I could have laid it across the middle of the bed too for an unusual burst of color.

But since I had bought it to use as a tablecloth I went ahead and did just that, and loved it. A little bit of exotic Morocco in my dining room.

And then, I couldn’t resist…..since my daybed was right next to the dining table I thought I’d see how it looked covering that!

So now I’m torn and undecided. It looks gorgeous whichever way I use it. What do you think? How should I use it? Let me know in your comments below.

Remember, play around with your Saffron Marigold linens. Duvets and twin bedspreads make great throws to wrap yourself in, our gossamer voile curtains make wonderfully soft baby quilts (if you can sew that is!), our exotic cushion covers can make for great pieces of art when framed….the possibilities are endless!
