Tulip Mist is an elegant, gossamer confection of stylized cream tulips printed on gauzy, milky white hand loomed "Kota Doria" fabric. Touched with the delicate scent of wet foliage and rain drenched earth, a bouquet of tulips gently lifts the mist that shrouds the cold dark days of winter and heralds the breathtaking exuberance of spring.
Kota Doria: Named after Kota in southern Rajasthan, India, where it originated, Kota Doria is a hand loomed fabric that is characterized by a fine, checkered weave. The fabric is woven on pit
looms employing the throw shuttle technique. The entire weaving process is devoid of mechanization. All processes, from winding and warping the yarn to weaving the fabric, are done by hand.
