Candle Care Tips:- First burn time - 1 hour for every inch diameter.
- Wicks should always be cut to ¼” prior to lighting.
- Avoid drafts - they cause dripping!
- Please ensure candles are extinguished prior to leaving the room
- Display the candles away from direct sunlight to help the hand-painted pigments stay brighter longer.
Each candle is hand-painted in an artisan studio in Bredasdorp, South Africa, a small agricultural town not far from the shore on the Western Cape.
The studio is committed to employing women and providing them creative, steady work that is typically difficult to obtain in a town like this. Many of the women are the primary wage earners in multigenerational households, and every candle purchased by you, our dear Saffron Marigold customer, directly translates to work opportunities for this group of artisan women.
These candles are handmade with the highest quality natural, unscented paraffin wax with cotton wicks. They are
unscented, free of added toxins, smokeless, and drip-free. Candle holders are not included.
These candles are special and unique because each is individually handcrafted and painted. Please be aware that the candle you receive might appear slightly different from website photos, but will be consistent with the theme of the design. Any variations in pattern and color reflect the hand-painted process.
