The Royal Mansour, a spectacular palace hotel in Marrakesh adorned in beautiful latticework, was commissioned by King Mohammed VI of Morocco. For this opulent palace there was no budget - only the royal edict to make it the embodiment of the very best of Moorish art, architecture and Moroccan living. It was handcrafted by 1,200 artisans using the finest stones, marbles, tiles, silks, feathers and cedar. A fairy tale palace... it is like something out of the Arabian Tales of 1001 nights, wherein Scheherazade would have delighted in finding magical corners in which to tell her many tales to her spellbound Sultan every night.
