So its official! You’re off to school come Fall, you have to give up your cozy room at home and move into this space with bare non-descript walls and dull furniture – your “dorm room”. Well, don’t despair – we have linens to make your space fabulous. If Paris is your favorite city, and you follow fashion trends on the French runways, then read on……
Because today I’m featuring our luscious French inspired Morning Dew linens for your dorm room, that will have your dorm mates saying “Oui Oui” !!!
Regal motifs like jeweled crowns in royal blue and teal with pops of orange across a pale yellow ground, it will bring a chic sophisticated flair to your dorm.
There are so many lovely colors in the print, you can pick any of them to highlight depending on what sheets you settle on. Pale yellow will enhance the soft, elegant understated feel while the teal sheets will pick out green-blue of the diadem motifs and really make that hue stand out.
Pillow shams and accent pillows
All the sheets sets will come with coordinating pillow shams, but a little change up now and then creates a whole different look and will keep things interesting. Morning Dew pillow shams will give you even more of that lovely elegant print, while the orange pillow shams will accentuate the citrus notes in it.
Ahhh…..now that we have the basic pillow shams….. the fun begins. Accent pillows to pile high and toss on the bed. Euro shams go first, followed by pillow shams and then a generous sprinkling of accent pillows…round, fluffy, long, solid, printed…..anything at all! As long as you stay within the colors of teal, ink blue, yellow and orange you cannot go wrong!
Depending on what kind of windows you have, and what the dorm rules are, you can either hang Morning Dew curtains which will filter diffused golden light into the room, or the Morning Dew valance to bring a touch of elegance to the room.
These paper lanterns in yellow, orange or capri breeze, are so versatile – if using them as actual lighting (with cord kits that are sold separately) is an option, then perfect. If not, suspend them and use as simple but very effective decor accessories.
