We love how creative our customers are.\u00a0Read on to see what Stacie did with a Maharaja swatch.<\/a>\u00a0Our swatches<\/a> are a generous 45″ x 15″ long and at a pinch can double up as table runners, curtains (when a few are sewn together like I did<\/a>), or lovely wall tapestries like Stacie did.<\/p>\n

I put the Empresses Emeralds valence in my kitchen window and I absolutely love it.\u00a0 It gives a really warm feeling to the room.\u00a0 It was hard for me to get a picture of it because of the way the room is oriented, but I did my best.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

I wanted to display the Maharaja swatch in my living room.\u00a0 When I ordered the swatch, I was assuming something much smaller, with just the stamp of the elephant, and I thought I would frame it.\u00a0 But when I received the piece, I was surprised to find a much larger piece of fabric, including the border pattern, so I decided to turn it into a tapestry-type wall hanging.\u00a0 I sewed each end into a loop and used dowel rods to hang it and weigh the bottom.\u00a0 It’s a really unexpected piece, and is probably my favorite thing in my living room now.
\nI absolutely love both pieces, and am now thinking about ordering a bed spread!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

Empresses Emeralds is from our Dreams of India Collection, a collection is inspired by the sari that holds within its bountiful folds the traditions, secrets and mysteries of the art of female adornment.
