If you dream of Parisian nights, and crisp cool linens to go along with, then you’ll love our soft cotton Paisley au Lait hand printed duvet and pillows. This graphic and romantic bedding is at its best when its black and white nature plays center stage. Go for a soft look by pairing it with whites, or drum up the drama with black accented linens.
For pure white cotton sheets, choose Pottery Barn’s Essential 300-count. These are long lasting, and soft to the touch. You’ll sleep well in them, I’m sure. If you’d like a touch of contrast, choose West Elm’s Embroidered Frame sheet set. A dark pewter border will tie in nicely to the block printing on Paisley au Lait.
If you’d like sheets that have more of a presence, choose Dwell Studio’s bold Knotted Trellis set. I love this organic pattern… as a matter of fact, it’s a favorite! Not to be outdone, the strong black border of Overstock’s Echo Modern Paisley sheet set will certainly be stunning when peeking out from under Paisley au Lait.
Pillows: Euro Shams, Standard Shams and Accent Pillows
A row of boxy euro shams across the headboard sets the stage for the rest of the bed decor. I love how Katie has made up her bed in the inspiration shot at top, so I prefer white pillows along the back. You may prefer a coordinating Paisley au Lait euro sham as well… The contrasting black and white fabric looks marvelous alongside our duvet.
While all the sheet sets mentioned above include standard shams, you may be interested in adding to your black and white collection. I love, love, love both of these options. First, feminine but not fussy, we have Linen Hemstitched Shams from Battenburg Lace. Second, in a wonderful pairing with the Paisley au Lait duvet, we have matching standard shams embellished with three large paisleys.
While we are intentionally sticking with our limited palette of black and white, for punchy accent pillows we are letting black take the lead. Use one or two small accent pillows on your bed if you like a bold contrast to the rest of your bed.
