Blues and the bath just seem meant to go together. Two of the baths in my home are in blues, and it makes sense to me! From splashing cool water on my face in the morning, to the possibility of a little tranquil alone time before bed, blues speak of renewal and calm.
One of Saffron Marigold’s customers recently asked which of our shower curtains might work well in her blue tiled bath. Anisha Ghosh, the designer behind all of our prints, recommends the following designs, “depending on the shade of blue, the size of the bathroom, the color on the walls, the amount of light the bathroom gets and of course her personal preference”.
As you can see, Saffron Marigold has a wide variety of Indian and Moroccan inspired shower curtains! These are all wonderful, soft, high-quality cotton – which in my opinion is the first step in upgrading a bathroom- and are hand printed by talented artisans in Rajasthan, India. All of our products are produced using fair trade practices with attention paid to the process from start to finish.
Each shower curtain is 72″ square and is finished with buttonhole openings for simple and stylish hanging.
1. Blue Steel Circle Stool, Maaloo line, OML. This is a high end item, and may be difficult to obtain, but I just love the way these hoops play with each other to create a simple, yet wildly organic look.
2. Blue Moroccan Ceramic Outlet Cover, Honeybeeceramics, Etsy. This shop produces a wonderful line of outlet covers and switch plates, each handmade and unique, as well as reasonably priced.
3. Love this DIY project from Shelterness. If you already have pendant lighting in your bath, this would be a great one-day project to bring a new look into the room.
4. Blue glass soap dispenser from Poseido. Available through Kaboodle.
