OK, it’s like that game you play. Someone tells you a word and you tell them the first thing that comes to mind. So if someone says the word “Fall” to me, I don’t say “leaves” or “cold” or “snuggling by the fire” or “warm woolen sweaters”.
Nope, I say “soup”!
Because none of the other wonderful things associated with Fall will be wonderful without a bowl of hot, steaming, chock-full-of-vegetables soup! Soups are so versatile. Make them thick and hearty enough and they become a meal, make them light and flavorful and they are a great accompaniment. So with that in mind, here are some terrific soup recipes I have pulled out from my recipe folder to share with you! Click on each image to be taken to the recipe!
And what completes a soup? The perfect soup bowl. A miso soup in a Zen inspired soup bowl is so much better than in a coffee mug? And a hearty minestrone in a chunky ceramic Italian bowl takes on a whole new avatar!
Here are some lovely finds and be sure to check out the DIY tutorial on “make your own bread bowl” for soup! How fun is that?

Have a wonderful Monday!
