Blue and yellow – complimentary colors on the color wheel, colors of Provencal France and last but not least, colors of our Morning Dew print! With little pops of citrus thrown in for spark and sizzle!
Big, regal motifs in royal blue and teal with accents of orange, waltz across a pale yellow ground for a stylish, elegant print. Here are ideas for a bedroom that’s soft and charming with a definite French flair.
Whatever your personal style, there’s sure to be a color that you can work with. Sheets, pillow shams and throws can be teal blue, orange or yellow. The blues will highlight the gorgeous teals in the print for an energetic, fresh, crisp appeal. The yellows will bring elegance and serenity, and orange bedding accessories will bring warmth along with an earthy feel. To get a little bit of each mood, feel free to mix and match the colors…..
Furniture, lamps and throws
If you have an old dresser in need of some updating, now is the time for a DIY makeover. I was so impressed with what Ann Marie of Twice Lovely did to her old dresser! I think its just the perfect shade of French blue and the distressed finish adds so much more to it. In fact even if your dresser doesn’t need updating, I’d still refinish it to look like this!!!!
I love the gray/orange colors of this lamp. The orange porcelain lamp base has a hand painted black and gray damask pattern and the lamp a light gray silk lampshade. Its just so elegant.
Soft snuggly acrylic throws from West Elm will be the ultimate bedroom accessory! In delicious colors like Mustard Seed, Sky and New Carrot to coordinate with Morning Dew linens, I’d be hard pressed to get just one. Stack a few at the end of the bed, toss them on a chair, keep some in a wicker basket for guests to use.
Top up your nightstand and dresser with these honeycomb terra cotta hive vases hand-painted and glazed in brilliant hues. Use along with chunky earthenware vases to fill with flowers in sunny yellows and oranges.
More bedding options
Don’t be limited by the duvet if a “fall” look is what you are craving. For cool nights the Morning Dew bedspread can double up as a cozy coverlet, and on colder nights the quilted bedspreads are perfect.
Do remember, the Morning Dew duvet cover can be used with any comforter you are using depending on how cold the night is. And as an added bonus, any of our prints can be made into light comfortable quilts with a cotton lining. All you have to do is place a custom order and specify your requirements!
The final look
Chic, elegant, comforting and stylish all at once!
