Fall series – Cinnamon and turmeric hues of Spice Route for your bath

by Kamini on Aug 24, 12

There’s nothing quite like a hot shower at the end of a long exhausting day! And if that shower can recreate a spa like experience, then all the better! That’s when you need a shower curtain from our extensive collection. In a variety of colors to suit your mood or your decor, printed on preshrunk, superior grade, soft cotton and finished with neat double stitched hems, they’ll transform your bath instantly.

Our Spice Route shower curtain has cinnamon, turmeric and turquoise motifs on a deep red paprika ground. Yes, all the colors of a New England fall – like in this stunning image by Jeff Folger - in one gorgeous print!

l’ve done all the leg work for you and sourced some lovely products you need to complete the relaxing bath experience. :-)

Bath linens: Towels

Rust, bamboo or cornflower blue? Take your pick. I myself am partial to the rust (cos I’m crazy about orange and any shade of orange), but really any of the colors will look fabulous! The towels are made from 100% Turkish Aegean long staple combed cotton, a cotton famous for its superior absorbency and soft feel.

Shower curtain hooks

There are hooks and there are hooks! Now here’s a chance to add something fun. Steer away from the run-of-the-mill hooks and go for something with a little style. The rope trim hooks are somewhat traditional, but the nickel or the bronze (my pick) will definitely be a nice change. The hooks from Amazon are a bit more flamboyant. And then we have the uber modern hooks from Overstock. All three are small enough that they won’t take the focus away from the curtain, but big enough to make a statement!

Accessories

These woven baskets from West Elm are in keeping with the natural, organic feel, and can be used for so many things…..soaps, bottles, towels, toiletries. This beautiful pottery apothecary jar can either be used to hold things, but I think it should be a stand alone. At 13″ tall it deserves its own place so it can bask in solitary splendor! And then some lovely colorful soaps to put in those baskets so they can diffuse their orange/bergamot fragrance all around.

Sensory touches

And then for the final touch…some incense! Light up any one of the Tibetan fragrances, place in the beautiful papier mache incense burner, awaken your inner chakras and you’ll emerge from the bath relaxed and rejuvenated!
