Week after week, Spice Route, with its rich, sumptuous, exotic colors is our top seller. Harkening back to the days of camels roaming the desert, and tantalizing mysterious bazaars, the Spice Route pattern has colors of turmeric and turquoise contained within bold, brazen motifs on a deep red paprika ground.
A print with many colors can make choosing coordinating bed linens a challenge, but on the other hand, just by virtue of having so many colors, it can offer you more than one color scheme for your bedroom with which you can change the mood of your room easily, just by changing your sheets and pillows.
Spice Route with warm, vibrant reds and oranges:
Sheets in tones of reds and oranges, will introduce a warm vibe and amplify the exotic, global appeal of the print. Reds will accent the deep red background of the print, while orange will highlight the fine scrolling pattern on the red. So if you’re looking to turn up the warmth factor in the bedroom, pick one of these colors.
Spice Route with earthy neutrals and browns:
Sheets that fall within the neutral color range will bring a sense of calm and peace to the room. These include hues that range from pale gold to chocolate which will emphasize the yellow turmeric and warm brown in Spice Route. In addition to bringing a serene vibe, they will work with a myriad of Saffron Marigold prints. Now that’s a definite plus!
Spice Route with breathtaking blues and greens:
For an unexpected dramatic twist, pick colors that fall within the blue/green color spectrum. Blue will highlight the blue flecks contained within the Spice Route pattern and since blue and orange are complementary colors on the color wheel, the vibrant combination will delight and surprise. Similarly green sheets paired with the red in Spice Route will add a striking combination.
Pillow Shams, Euro Shams and Accent Pillows!
Do you sit up in bed and read? Then euro shams are ideal…big and generous, they not only add that grand look to your bed, they are so useful to lean back against. Again you have a choice of Spice Route euro shams or these smooth cotton ones for PB.
And then finally here is where you can have some fun….with accent pillows. Accent pillows have no real purpose but to “accent” the bed. They can be long, oblong, square, round, fluffy….whatever you want. They are there to toss on the bed and play with and the more the merrier! The long 28″ x 13″ nubby weave accent pillows from Coyuchi, will add texture and comfort. Any of the 6 colors will work well. But for a splash of orange pop, I am all for the orange and blue silk one from Etsy. A couple of these will really look fabulous!
As with anything, whenever you are trying to match a color precisely, getting a swatch is a good idea. Request a Spice Route swatch, and use that to pick your perfect sheet set. It will make the job super easy.

This is a great idea. How about doing the same for towels to go with the various shower curtains. I’m looking for some to go with my recently purchased Spice Route curtain which I love, by the way. Thanks.
Ellen, glad you like this idea. And regarding your suggestion, you read our minds…we do plan on a similar series with towels and shower curtains! Kamini
