Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for the Mom-to-Be

Expecting Moms are often just as excited about Mother’s Day as “experienced” Moms. They’re busy daydreaming about life with the little one, and are most likely quite busy getting prepared for the big day. May we suggest a gift combination for the new mom that includes either an indigo or rose accent pillow, along with a heavenly scented, organic body scrub or lotion.

Mother’s day ideas: For a mom who reads!

Today we’re focussing on bibliophile moms.

Moms who love to read. Moms who will set aside anything and everything for a good book! A mom who likes to get her comfy socks on, curl up in a cozy chair, grab a cup of tea and read….and read…and read! Fortunately, these moms are easy to please on Mother’s Day.

Let’s start with the most essential part – a comfy cushiony chair to curl up on. Not only does this chair from Overstock comply with both those rules …., but it is so pleasing to the eye. The formal nailheads and the tufted back complement the curved feminine lines, and with its neutral color it will blend well with any decor – which is great when mom decides to change her color scheme depending on the season – or her mood!

The coffee table from West Elm caught my eye right away and is sure to be a conversation starter. Echoing the same carved lines of the print, its both functional and beautiful. A hard to beat combination.

Scatter a few (or a lot) Sultan’s Palace euro shams on the floor to encourage some relaxed lounging and informal conversations. And then for a slightly more modern take on Morocco, how about this gorgeous wing chair from Horchow? Covered with top-grain, blue leather and trimmed with pewter nailheads, I have to admit it is a splurge item.

Fun and colorful wall art will heighten the Bohemian feel of the print, and add a jolt of electric color to your walls. Use the paisley stencil to create a stunning wall mural in whatever color you want.
