A royal sumptuous bath with turquoise, pink and ivory!

There’s no two ways about it. If you’re looking to create an exotic, global intense vibe in your bath, Sultan’s Palace has to be your print of choice.

Big, bold and beautiful Moroccan inspired medallions in fuchsia, turquoise, ivory and white set against a lush deep purple background, the shower curtain is striking and flamboyant! If your bath is in need of a little pick-me-up, this ought to do it.

But why stop at that? Here are some fun ideas to accessorize your bath with in an attempt to capture the essence of a Sultan’s Palace. I’m talking rooms cocooned in lush velvets, smooth marble floors, deliciously cool turquoise water fountains sprinkled with rose petals, ornate ochre brass lanterns…….I’ll let you dream on……

Coordinating towels

Whether you choose thick thirsty towels or soft, Turkish peshtemals is really a personal choice. I for one love peshtemals. But the color you pick will set the tone of your bath. While ivory will offset the deep hues of the print with its soft energy (and work with every other Saffron Marigold print), towels in purple, turquoise and pink will only enhance the jewel tones and add to the drama and flair. Or better still, get a couple of different colors and change them up every so often depending on your mood…..

Bath Mats, Mirrors and Towel rods

Moroccan rugs are either flat or knotted and have vibrant designs and colors, often displaying geometric patterns. Tossing a flat weave dhurrie rug into your bathroom as opposed to a typical bath mat will instantly give the room a more exotic feel. If you do however want to follow the traditional approach, the natural bath mat from Overstock will be perfect. The idea is to keep the mats as neutral as possible to let the shower curtain be the focus.

Looking to really up the ante on the luxe factor? Then I suggest this mirror. I’ll admit its not too easy on the pocket, but what a statement it will make. Capiz shells form a mosaic around the mirror and add glitz and glamour. Another option to bring some dazzle into the bath would be this antique towel rod in a beautiful bronze finish. Definitely a more affordable option while tying in with the vintage exotic appeal.

 Accessories:

I have my eye on these brass drawer pulls as well. With an antique bronze patina their shape echoes the medallions on the print. Switch out the pulls on your drawers with these for instant global flavor. The mirrored vanity tray set is ideal for storing all our bath paraphernilia. Use it to stack rolled hand or face towels, toiletries, perfumes, make up items, jewelry…whatever.

Sensory stimulii

To do full justice to Sultan’s Palace and live like royalty, we have got to have our lotions and creams. Moroccan Argan oil will drench the driest skin and is the hottest thing going these days and I cannot think of a better setting to use it in. Stock up some sensuous soaps from Lush USA and fill a glass jar with them. Not just pretty but highly functional too.
